Harer and McCarthy

New Administration for CBB

The IGSP welcomes John Harer, a professor of mathematics and IGSP member, as the new director for the PhD Program in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (CBB). IGSP Investigator Jeanette McCarthy, an associate professor in the Department of Community and Family Medicine, will serve as the program's director of graduate studies. Harer and McCarthy succeed Associate Professor of Biochemistry and IGSP Member Terry Oas.

Cancer Genomics Meeting

Our first Cancer Genomics Meeting for the Fall 2008 semester will be held on Monday, September 8th in 2240 CIEMAS. The lecture will be given by Mark W. Onaitis, MD, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Duke Medicine. Dr. Onaitis will give a lecture on the topic of Basal Cells in Lung Cancer.FULL SCHEDULE

Tuesday Seminar Series

The first Tuesday Seminar Series will be given by Nancy C. Andrews, Dean of the Duke University School of Medicine and IGSP Member. Dr. Andrews will give a lecture on the topic of Running in Circles The lecture will take place on Tuesday, September 9th, 2008 at 12:30pm in Nanaline Duke Building, Room 147.
